Join days 8 and 9 to show solidarity for Zainab Al-Khawaja and Mohammed Al-Daaysi, as they fast until the release of their family from political detention and possible torture by the Kingdom of Bahrain. In order to put pressure on the Kingdom, protesters are joining in all over the nation of Bahrain in a public plea for the release of Zainab's father, husband, brother-in-law, and uncle, and Mohammed's female cousin, in what may be the largest Hunger Strike we have recorded to date.
Zainab has now been hospitalized. EU's Catherine Ashton and Britain's Jamie Bowden have spoken with Bahrain directly about the release of the activists, and Hillary Clinton has been personally confronted with the issue by a member of Zainab's family. But here in the US, there has been very little attention paid to the issue. Below I would like you all to sign your name by listing it in the comments section, where I will compile the list and forward it to Bahrain human's rights watchdogs to join the official tally.
Let's help bang the drum on this issue and get this done so we don't have to read about a girl dying in her bed waiting for justice.
This shouldn't be too hard, since most of us are too poor to buy food anyway.
